Virgie couldn’t believe she let Tifa drag her into this. But she considered Tifa her mother in a way-even though they were probably around the same age-and trusted her judgment.

She was waiting for someone named Cyrax. Tifa had given her a description and a name because she knew Virgie didn’t like to be surprised. She’d said they had some things in common and that they might get along.

At least the restaurant wasn’t that fancy-she wasn’t obligated to dress up.
