So. My city had a shooting yesterday.

I won’t get into it very much but please take note.

Our chief of police has decided he will say the shooters name one time. Then never again. He will be referred to as “the shooter” from then on. Please. As a local. Do not name him. Do not share his photo.

The local news is following suit. (Only really seen National news say the shooters name multiple times)

Instead please focus on the 12 that unfortunately lost their lives yesterday. 11 of them were at work about to go home for the day and the 12th came in to get a permit.

In the midst of tragedy, there is such good in the world. I have had colleagues, vendors, relatives and friends (2 of my oldest...Elementary School BFFs, Maureen Meyer & Amy Tuthill) who have reached out to me to check on me and tell me that I am in their thoughts and hearts.
