I actually liked it a lot too. But I think, and I'm generalising, dudes and comic book fans didn't like it as much because it was full of feelings and emotions

I feel like the older Spider-Man movies were mostly like that as well, though? I don't know, you could be right. I certainly wouldn't put it past them.

Maybe somewhere around 70%? I also liked Jamie Foxx's Electro quite a bit. But then again I love any superhero/villain that manipulates electricity. =P Maybe this movie was just up my alley.

Announcement re: Tumblr Layout Changes

Melinda May Appreciation Month is ON HOLD until we see where these changes are going. Don't feel pressured to make gifs in the old or new sizes- MMAM14 will be extended however many days it's on hold. So no worries!

(But if you do still want to make stuff, go ahead and I'll reblog! Just know that there's no pressure if you want to wait and see whether tumblr will change things back or keep them. This is personally causing me some anxiety so my gifs will be on hold for now fyi.)

3. Any old school favorites (pre-70s)?Um, LOTS. Bringing Up Baby, His Girl Friday, Bells are Ringing, The Women, Brief Encounter, West Side Story, All About Eve, Singin' In the Rain, East of Eden,  Stage Door, The Thin Man, etc., etc., etc.(TCM is my jam.)

13. Your guilty pleasure movie(s)?Superstar, maybe? Like I know it’s kind of awful but I genuinely like it (so I don’t feel “guilty” about it as much as I’ve just come to terms with sometimes liking awful but also wonderful things)

48. A disappointing film from your favorite actor?I can’t think of any specific film I’m disappointed in at the moment, quality-wise, but in general I’m super disappointed whenever someone does black/brown-face, particularly after 1970 like you should fucking know better by now.
