For the past three years, from October 5, 2012 to December 23, 2014, you have housed Saturn, the task master planet and disciplinarian of the zodiac and god of wisdom, in your second house of earned income. This proved to be a draining presence on your resources and financial stability. In fact, many Virgo lost a reliable source of income, like from a spouse that is no longer present either through death or divorce. All sources of income were scrutinized by the intense focus of Saturn, who’s goal in life is to render the most authentic you by making you go through the experiences that test your belief systems and makes you relive certain things from the past to bring them closure in the present now. Experience is truly the essence of wisdom for wisdom has reason when it is backed by experience. Saturn’s tests are not found in books for these are not intellectual lessons you can ace by reciting the right words in response. To the contrary, Saturn’s only tool to coach you is through life itself.
The Universe wants you to be happy, deal Virgo, and to this end the Universe endowed you and every level of being from the galaxy, to the planets to you and your pets, as well, with the right to free choice according to your will. You choose the life that you want and Saturn in your second house of earned income is testing the resilience of the connections and relationships you have established. The foundation of your financial reality is being tested at the moment, as Saturn’s gaze is so penetrating he is finding deep cracks in the foundations that once stood solid and now may overcome the problems by simple restructuring, or a total annihilation of past perceived realities and the establishment of a new financial reality for your life for today and the future. Finances may have been drained through the heavy burdens that tested your credit and your investments, and now Saturn is expecting you to stand upon your own two feet. For no greater opportunity arises for Saturn to awaken you to your true self worth than when he is touring through your second house of money. Your sense of self and the value of your soul are perfectly defined for you and you know what you are worth and can now confidently stand behind your declarations to the Universe about what you want. Though, be careful to avoid an attitude of entitlement, for you are not owed anything by the Universe, but rather your actions and the wisdom that you have gained from the experiences of overcoming Saturn’s financial obstacles and stressful scrutiny will simply manifest the rewards in response to the transformed you. The energy of your attitude towards money has so fundamentally been transformed you literally vibrate a different frequency. Saturn exits your second house of money and enters your third house of communication from December 23, 2014 to December 19, 2017, a period of growth underscored by the testing of the integrity of your word. Recall, everything is a creation of the reality formed by the power of the word, “In the beginning was the word.” The third house oversees every transaction of words that occurs in the exchange of thoughts, from writing and publishing, to even legal court cases. At the onset of the transit, Saturn finds in all of us a petulant child that still has not learned how to use their words to get across the point they want to make. Saturn’s tests will urge you to realize that you cannot live alone, but rather life procures the most meaning through the relationships we form with others. Relationships are the supreme source of happiness, fulfillment and satisfaction for the life-loving Virgo, and Saturn will plead you to learn as quickly as possible that your words are profoundly capable of creation and destruction, and the key to happiness for Virgo is partaking in the tender, loving care of creating and growing the things that matter to them. Your words will begin to reflect a more loving and authentic you, as you realize that life without others is a life without a sense of self. The words you speak to yourself and the words you speak to others are one and the same. The Sun is the celestial source of the light and breath of life; he is the god of personality, self-identity and generosity. Mercury, the poor little guy, has a lot on his small plate and he gets a lot of grief, but if you only knew how much he has to handle! He is the personal assistant to the stars – literally! Like Earth, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, all of the planets, including the Sun! And these are no Hollywood stars, these are the stars that made #diva a hashtag to begin with. So no wonder this little guy gets to go on vacation a couple of times a year. He has to sort through the celestial baggage of these big planets that otherwise can’t take care of themselves without him the rest of the time #needymuch.
Mercury being in retrograde in your house of daily habits may sound draining, but it’s quite literally the Universe inviting you to vedge the fuck out. Your laundry will get done according to your precise preferences, folded and stowed away…eventually, but now is the time to rest. On Wednesday, February 11 Mercury will go retrograde and he will return fully reinvigorated, ready as he goes full swing into sorting out your life. Yes, the diet may have been abandoned for a little while, and perhaps your instructor is feeling a little bit neglected since your last visit to the gym, but no one will hold it against you. Life has not been easy for Virgo, and you are bound to be tested as you become more sophisticated, wise and mature in your communication skills through lessons learned from tough experiences. When the Moon sheds her cloak and becomes totally at one with the void of the night, she reminds us that all life originally starts from creating something out of nothing. From the void of the seemingly nothing night comes life itself, and the Moon invites you on Wednesday, February 18th to imagine a life you love and create it.
