It was a hot day so to cool off Neko decided to eat a popsicle “So Kirito-kun” slowly licking the ice cream from the base to the very top “how are you today?” waiting for the boy to reply as she stuck the popsicle into her mouth, moving it in and out “Mewww Banana flavor~! my favorite” the ice cream had started to melt and dripped all over her hand which was easily cleaned with the use of her tongue before taking one big bite of the popsicle without flinching and swallowed it “oh that’s right would you like some~?”

"So this is it, huh?"

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Minato expressed his doubts, the two fools stood before a set of doors in a monochrome space void of life out on another investigation. This was unlike any of their other assignments however, it had no real "objective" per se. Or at least not one that was identifiable.

"We've come this far. No sense in turning back now." Both of the boys were now fully aware of the existence of multiple universes thanks to varying encounters with people of all kinds. Some human, others not so much. Their purpose before was to learn about themselves, rather who they were in a past life.

Breathing deeply, Yu pushed open the set of doors and only after a moment of gazing into the portal within, stepped inside Minato following suit not too long after.  The doors then closed behind them both.

Beaming down onto new ground, the fools opened their eyes and took a moment to gaze around. They were surrounded on all sides by a structure made up a mixture of large, presumably iron, black pillars and castle walls.

Inhaling before exhaling, the gray-haired teen was making sure the air wasn't toxic and while the oxygen seemed normal, something felt...off.

"Hey pal...is it me or is there some sort of...detachment going on here?"

"I feel it too...it's like I'm not using my own body..." The younger fool closed the palm of his hand. It moved like it should have but when he opened it again, a flat holographic menu materialized in front of his eyes. 

"What in the..." It had various lines of text categorized like a set of options including Guild, Weapons, Armor, Skills, Quests and others with a green bar imprinted with numbers and his name near the top. Yu was puzzled but it brought Minato to one conclusion.

"Is this...some sort of video game?"

The ability to travel to other worlds was a useful ability, but often Shuji found himself wandering into a world that seemed to defy common sense. As he opened his eyes, he was almost instantly sure that the world he was currently in was an exception. Here, he didn't feel human. 'I'm not technically human anymore to begin with, but here, I don't feel.... solid?' It was a strange sensation.

Instead of dwelling on it, Shuji glanced around. There were large open fields as far as the eye could see, and faint outlines of mountains beyond that. There were little colored blots scattered along the ground, moving slowly along, minding their own business. Shuji quickly assumed they were animals and decided to steer clear of them, not wanting to assume they were friendly. Instead, he cast a glance behind him and spotted a tall black shadow at the top of a hill. It didn't look like an animal, but still Shuji decided to approach cautiously.

"Um... excuse me?"
