everything is COLD and everything is BROKEN when you’re part of an intergalactic war, and even more so when they throw you around like sausages hung from a lion’s neck. ( oh, that one? nah, she’s a SURVIVOR. it’s almost like she’s fuckin’ immortal-- course, she ain’t. ) from port to port, from ship to ship; if you’re needed, you’re placed there, and the newest ship ( fuck, you can’t even remember the goddamn name. all you remember is your training, and the name you have written on the palm of your hand, smeared with nervous sweat. ) is no different. you’re taken aback by the bright lights, the chattering crew. everything feels muted, like they’ve turned up the contrast on the screen and placed socks over the speakers. quietly, the brunette woman enters the corridor, checking windows, when available, and reading placards over and under doors to try to find the person she needed to speak to. commander shepard, huh? she had heard a couple of things about shepard in the common room gossip sessions, but she never expected to be around the commander or their crew. popping her neck, she pushes her shoulders back, turning the corner-- only to be faced with a rather interesting individual. perhaps this is the person she’s been looking for? ‘ sorry to bother you. are you commander shepard? if not, do you know where i can find the commander? ‘
