Yeah that's what I figured... I honestly would rather wait longer and have it be higher quality. Hopefully the story will still be good.

Yeah, I agree. But I think they wanted to release the series and the movie sooner, to the point the production of the second season was transferred to Tatsunoko so the movie can be done by Production IG in time to Winter season.

Fortunately looks like Jun Kumagai and Tow Ubukata understand very well all the characters and foundations left by Urobochi in the first season, so even if this sequel doesn't feel exactly necessary I'm confident it will explore more of the franchise setting.
