omg yes!!!!!!!! i fucking love sistermagpie. she's one of those ppl who could write about anything under the sun and i'd still read it (her lotr meta is my fav, and i really don't give a shit about lotr). she's also one of the very few ppl that i've come across both on the internet and in meatspace where she and i just straight up think on different wavelengths, so it's IMMENSELY interesting for me to read her stuff bc i'd never see or approach something the way she does in a million yrs. like idk if you're into breaking bad but the meta she wrote on walt jr.'s disability and how that influences his views on masculinity & weakness just blew me away

yeah i petered off from the hp fandom pm after ootp came out bc i hated ootp and also bc around that time, that lj crowd channeled a significant portion of its energy into different fandoms & hobbies, and i left to do the same

JCC Ranch Camp recently organized a virtual campfire to allow alumni from all over the world to take part in a song session. They used Google+ Hangouts On Air to broadcast from camp (in Colorado) plus highlight special guests from New York, Chicago, and other areas.
