“Looking back and forth” The Grand Illusion Issue 3
The following blog post contains some moments along with images never before seen from past events and friends I had, some will remain nameless or be named cause they don’t know I have this blog!
Sometimes you should look back on your past and remember the good days…then there’s times you should NOT look back on your past and remember the “good” days. This is an image from a group karaoke event I was at with an old group I’m no longer apart of. This was taken sometime in May of 2024. I have so many images of my former friends.
Losing people you through were your friends can hurt you greatly, but it’s how you recover that speaks volumes to others. This is a round table image from me and a few others hanging out at Furry Springs. A place that is associated with Virtual Limbs.
This was an image taken during the last World Exploration I was apart of. From left to right if I can remember their names:
Chase (Orange wolf STILL close friends with)
NemoLiquid (behind Chase with purple sweater)
MU (back row in black and red shirt)
Sky (front next to me in red sweater)
Fluoride (sitting on floor still friends with)
Ashley (unknown friendship)
Chase and Flouride are not part of VL, they’re still friends! But the others are. Virtual Limbs might seem like a fun place to be in and hang…but behind the scenes it was more of just talking bout making taur avatars, and a lot of nothing else. A Taur avatar is an avatar that has an extra set of legs like a Centaur.
They look a little like this drawing I did many months ago only with arms. When events would take place, I feel like it was like a battle to see who would host. Plus it was the same stuff over and over again! Limbs also had a main focus on everyone and everything taur, if you were a creator of Taurs and all, you got special treatment. If you didn’t make avatars, you were just a face in the crowd. The place felt dead to me a few times, especially after I’d post event images or images I took during hangouts. It was like no one liked that. It felt cold, not as welcoming as it could be.
This image taken from the last Karaoke event I did with them was small but features some other key players. Rye on the left there was one of the better admins of the place, always wanted to hear what you had to say. And then there’s Salem (bunny taur). Salem I have to thank for actually introducing me to these people after a difficult friend group kicked me to the curb. Salem also enjoyed fun, but had a few slight issues which I won’t go fully into.
It wouldn’t be until the day of Furality Umbra that everything went black…just the previous night I was chatting with others who were prepping for Furality. I even had put one of the artists names on my GT7 car and won with it in their backyard. Plus I had done a photo shoot to grab early thumbnails for videos. The next morning I found myself BANNED, and was told by the owner who’s name is Vox that “we heard some things about you and feel you are a danger to our community so we are banning you without giving you a chance to appeal!go seek help!”….what they had heard was false accusations against me! There’s a group of “white knights” who think it’s their duty to harass, harm, doxx, hack, force to kill, and cancel innocent people over stuff that they claim looks “pedo”. What’s in their “evidence”? Posts that they take out of context. Plus they know how to photoshop tweets and posts to make it say what they want. They also ambush Discord servers and cause huge harm, they’ve even been known to destroy major servers too over 1 person. But not giving me a chance to even say anything? That’s when you know people are corrupted!
When you see this in the morning of a huge event, your world can come crashing down….however, it’s how you recover from it that speaks for itself!
I still went to Furality and my friends who I consider my true friends stuck with me and showed me a great time! It helped boost my confidence back up! I now found myself getting back into YouTube, now I have a channel that a lot of people love, I feel free to do what I wanna and not let other groups screwed with me!
Do I miss Virtual Limbs? Yes and No
If given the chance would I return to them?……..no
Is this blog a long one? Yes! But for a good reason
Sadly I can’t share more images due to the 10 images per post BS, but at least you can see where I’m coming from. One thing I do take with me form those places is the fact I can explore more worlds and find ones I can keep and whip out if need be, sometimes a little bit of good photography helps, or even some funny stuff too. Sometimes it turns into a good memory
But that is a blog, for another day.
