So after watching Sylveon Plays, I decided to play Pokemon Sweets Version, and after struggling to figure out how to play it on VBA, I got this message.

For anyone having trouble playing it, if you want to play this game on VBA, you need to have it set to that save type before opening the game. If not, it’ll keep telling you to change the save settings, and you’ll have to close VBA whether or not you do. Resetting won’t make it see the save type is changed; you have to actually restart the emulator if you don’t change it beforehand. It won’t let you play unless you have the save settings correct.

VisualboyAdvance-m 2.1.11 speed issue

So you power it on and it tells you that the xAudio2 failed. And then it plays the game in like turbo turbo no matter what you change.

Options. Audio. Configure.

*It's going to bring up the Sound Settings menu. Click on Advanced.

Change your Device from "XAudio2" over to "Direct Sound".

That should fix it. I don't know why, it just does.
