Prof. Philip Dowell, Senate Member, Royal College of Surgeons of England, conducts workshop at Balaji Dental and Craniofacial Hospital in Chennai, India Dr. SM Balaji organized an international workshop on “E Learning with International Virtual Dental School” at Balaji Dental and Craniofacial Hospital in Chennai, India. A team of 12 international specialists from the UK led by Prof. Philip Dowell, Professor of Periodontology, University of Surrey and University of Wales attended the workshop. Prof. Dowell who is also the President of the British Society of Periodontology and Past President of the International College of Dentists, spoke about the modalities of specialist training in the UK through the International Virtual Dental School that uses problem based learning to provide skill enhancing competencies to specialist trainees.
