9/21/23 Album Recap Ranking from Fav to Least Fav
Agent Orange - Virtually Indestructible 1996 Still can't understand for the life of me why this has only a CD release. All-n-all I don't think Agent Orange gets the respect it rightfully deserves as a band with its inability to fit in with the LA punk scene. This album is so well done with only the last track being something I didn't exactly mesh with for playing the phone sound effects for too long; but all the other tracks are such a good jam! My favorites are probably, "Make Up Your Mind And Do What You Want To Do" and their instrumental, "Tiki Ti". 4/5
Scream - Banging The Drum 1987 Rambunctious and high-energy with good song variety to make listening to the whole album mentally engaging. Not quite pure rawness while not quite a polished product. A very enjoyable album; but wished they leaned into a little more of the chaotic style which shone through in, "Feel Like That" and "Sing It Up Kidz". 3.75/5
A little less to cover today since I gotta move some stuff downstairs and will also be away from my babies records for a couple days [same thing will happen next weekend]. Thinking of having a poll up for the next Vinyl Showcase tomorrow and might either cover Brain Drain or Rush Archives for an Album Spotlight when I can get back to my home base.
