The 4 Components of a Compelling Vision
The 4 Components of a Compelling Vision
In his book Visioneering, Andy Stanley identified four components of a compelling vision. Before you go public and start casting your vision, you must be able to articulate these four things:
The problem. Your vision isn’t a problem, but it always addresses a problem (see #2). Without this villain in the story, as Donald Miller puts it, no one is going to find your vision compelling.

I did a thing that scared me, multiple times this weekend. I pitched a crazy idea and ended up on the main stage pitching to the whole conference. What an inspiring and amazing event @xprize hosted. It was really wonderful to be with a group of humans all wanting more and better for our world, all doing something to push forward their dreams, and all doing it with a kind heart. #visioneering #leadership Truly #grateful & #blessed (at Paramount Studios) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3VwNIwpC6S/?igshid=13ebroqdrgkaq

All of us have a destiny to fulfill. God has provided us with everything that we need as we go on in fulfilling our visions - talents, gifts, and relationships waiting to be exploited in behalf of His kingdom. God has placed before us opportunities and responsibilities brimming with divine significance. Like Nehemiah, let us not lose sight of the divine nature and significance of our work. However, as illustrated by Nehemiah's story, it takes a lot more than passion and imagination to make what could and should be a reality. It requires patience, planning, and faith in God's ability to work behind the scenes. At times when we feel like there's little or no progress at all, it is so easy to be distracted and deceived by the enemy. Now is the time to join Nehemiah in declaring, "I am doing a great work and I cannot come down." (Nehemiah 6:3) Whatever our visions may be, they still need constant attention. Stay focused. And remember, there is divine potential in everything that God has put in your heart to do. The end of a God-ordained vision is God. Allow God to use our hearts and visions for His glory and in advancing His heavenly kingdom. 💖💓💟
How important is it to you that the Lord strongly supports what you are doing? If it is important, then your heart must be completely His. Our hearts and visions must be completely aligned with His. It is important that we keep our core beliefs as we fulfill our visions in order that we won't lose our way in the path that God wants us to take. If we encounter some bumps on the road, just hold on tight to our faith and always turn to the Lord to help us all throughout. 💖💓💟
