My first trip to the market just below my apartment. I think people get up a bit later here, the market was still slow at 9am this morning but seems to be much busier now at 11 am. So much amazing produce and fish. I bought some tomatoes, grapes, olives, and watermelon an Italian pizza like pastry (amazing) and a glass of fresh orange juice.

10 cool things to do in Palermo

Try local food (arancine, sfincione, pane ca meusa, pane con panelle e cazzilli, Stigghiola, Pasta chi sardi, anelletti al forno, and so on);

Eat a super cannolo;

Try our huge brioche with ice cream. It is a sort of ice cream burger;

Stroll along Via Vittorio Emanuele, Via Maqueda, Via Roma and Via Libertà;  

Visit Palermo food markets (Vucciria, Ballarò, Mercato del Capo, Sant’Agostino);

Visit our beautiful churches (Cathedral of Palermo, La Cappella Palatina, Oratorio di Santa Cita, and so on);

Enjoy the Arab-Norman itinerary, which includes a series of civil and religious structures dating from the era of the Norman kingdom of Sicily (1130-1194);

Have something to drink at the Bar Obikà, on the rooftop of La Rinascente and take some nice pictures from there,;

Visit the opera House of Palermo: Teatro Massimo. The third biggest theatre in Europe;

Climb up Monte Pellegrino; enjoy the panorama and the nature;
