Once one of the world’s busiest train stations, Union Station in St. Louis has transformed into a spectacular destination full of life and light. From its majestic Grand Hall with the stunning light show to the St. Louis Aquarium, Ferris Wheel, and lively restaurants — every corner tells a story.

One of my favorite things about St. Louis is all the history it holds (I know I always say that)! But St. Louis is where the infamous Dread Scott case took place. This case eventually made its way to the Supreme Court. 🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻 Dread Scott was an enslaved black man from Missouri who was taken into a free territory by his master. He argued that he should be free because he was in a part of the country where slavery was illegal. Although the courts ruled against him, this case helped add fuel to the fire that eventually sparked the American Civil War.
