Incredibly, Tadej says above that he actually 'closed down' Matteo so that "all three of them didn't get away" -- as if Tadej was stopping Matteo from leaving Jonas behind. You can actually see Pogi here throwing up his arm in frustration, confused as to why Visma would be attacking with Jonas caught up behind the crash chaos. This is probably all in part due to confusion in the moment and not Visma trying to screw their own GC contender.
