Powerful, temporary work by friend and colleague Victor Ekpuk.
"Mickey on Broadway" was an onsite drawing performance. Embarking on this project knowing that it would be wiped off after four weeks led me to ponder existential issues.
I view the act of creating and of wiping off this art as a metaphor of the human condition in which life is a stage.
We all perform and eventually step off to exist only in memory or be to forgotten.
