I have barely posted on here the last few years.I have felt normal and wasn’t feeling the same need for it although we all know that normal for us is different. But of course, something comes along and messes things up.
One of the medications I am on, Lyrica / Pregabalin has developed new side effects after 4 years.
I am now getting severe eye pain as well as blurring around lights (street lights, head lights etc so I don’t like walking at night at the moment). I am also getting double vision for light text on a dark background.
What has thrown me today is being in a supermarket, getting to the shelf I wanted but then being unable to read the labels.
I was sent to the hospital and they can’t find anything wrong so are happy to say its side effects. I have glasses for reading but my sight itself is not testing as bad enough for what I’m getting.
I’m hoping that I can change medications over the summer holidays but unfortunately that means losing most of it to coming off this an on to a new one which may or may not work and have different side effects. I think the side effects of Pregablin are just too much now with this, STM issues and concentration issues.
Has anyone else had anything similar? It’s just really pissing me off to have something new happen when I new how to cope with all the old stuff. It’s also distressing to not be able to see in the supermarket or on the pavement when you have not previously had any vision issues.
