My stomach when I eat even just a little: *slams big red wrong buzzer* you must now suffer
My stomach when I don't eat: *slams big red wrong buzzer* also wrong answer
Sometimes i find myself putting off taking pain killers usually with the mental reasoning that I'm not in a really really high amount of pain so I dont need it yet.
This is a reminder to myself and anyone out there that needs it that you dont have to wait to be in a really high amount of pain before you take pain relief or do things that will make you feel better.
The whole concept of having to do personally invasive interviews and even having your family, friends, workplace members and healthcare providers etc interviewed about your life and having to have your medical records and work history and whatever else thoroughly gone through by a case worker and all this other bullshit to “prove you’re disabled enough” for benefits is so absurdly punitive, it genuinely feels like I’m being put on trial for a crime I didn’t commit. But the crime is literally just being born disabled.
“Oh but nondisabled people will lie about being disabled to get benefits” I literally do not give a fuck about if a few genuine liars like that slip through the cracks here and there as long as it means it’s easier for actual disabled people to get insurance and other benefits instead of having to jump through all of these ridiculously invasive and disability unfriendly hoops that inherently require a system built by nondisabled people to determine if we as disabled people “deserve” help or not.
Disabled people deserve to have our needs met without experiencing a massive invasion of privacy.
mother. I understand being frustrated about how little my chronic illness allows me to do. believe me I am frustrated too. if you could perhaps refrain from directing that frustration at me.......
i hate when i'm in too much pain to sleep

That my Grandparents would be well and able to come to Thanksgiving and that my body would hold up with all the new experiences and challenges(and the rest of my family’s would too)

Oh, goody, time to submit my application to my college after getting three different doctors who are experts in my conditions to say “they need extensions sometimes” only to have to meet with all my professors and ask them if they are ok with me getting an accommodation because Lindsey from the English department clearly has expertise in my condition and knows exactly what I can and can’t do. If I hear one more professor who can’t even tell me what the acronyms stand for assure me that I don’t need flexibility, I’m going to show them why I have an IED accommodation along with the physical health ones.
