Whilst looking for research for my art practice on feminism I came across this and thought it was an interesting speech

21/11/14 today I went to leeds to visit art galleries. I went to leeds art gallery, the henry moor institute, the bowery gallery and the Stanley and Audrey Burton gallery. The main exhibitions on were shezad dawood and Eling jakobsdottir

All I can do is laugh at this. It's 10 sextet adverts from 1950s to 60s. One says something along the lines of "If a woman want to get to know herself she needs to get baking" lol

11/11/14 I'm looking at old cleaning demonstrations to give me ideas for my sculpture dress. I am considering making a video once the dress is complete

I think that motherhood is in me and therefore in everything I do including my art. I feel that this is also how some other artists who are mothers feel too. Bobby Baker is one of those.artists and I find it refreshing to see her put her motherhood into her work
