The grating, unearthly sound of the construct’s voice did not go unnoticed. Indeed, there were things far beyond her reach. Impossibilities. Even he, a demon could not turn metal into flesh. Nor could he breathe life into that which was lost.

The limitations of his power continued to irritate him. Like a small, albeit persistent, cut. It lingered and festered, reminding him of how incomplete his power remained-- but he mused upon this for far too long (which, to his liking, would be not at all). 

He drew his kiseru from his jagged maw, a trail of red smoke followed soon after.
