Bandai Japan Announces Digimon Vital Bracelet BE
After several teasers, Bandai Japan has made it official. The Digimon Vital Bracelet BE is the newest generation of the popular Digimon Vital Bracelet, and Vital Hero. What’s new? In regards to looks the only difference is that the BE will feature translucent shells surrounding the display, so you’ll actually see the electronics surrounding the screen.
In the announcement video Bandai Japan informs viewers that Digimon there will be a Digital expansion under three brands, Digimon Adventure, Digimon Ghost Game, and lastly Digital Monster. The website for the Digimon Vital Bracelet BE is actually available in English here.
The website covers all of the features. It outlines existing features such as the pedometer for walking and training since evolution of your character is based on those attributes. Next up we have the water resistance feature! The Vital Bracelet BE is equipped with IPX4 water resistance which means it’ll survive splashes no matter the direction, but no submersion into water.
Then it’s mentioned that the application will provide player versus player battle against users all over the world, and that it is currently in development. It also appears that the Vital Bracelet BE will not use traditional DIM cards, but rather a new generation of DIM cards that will only work on this version and not other versions. Bandai Japan also announced on their Twitter profile that the legacy DIM cards will work on the BE, and that all restrictions have been removed from those cards on the BE.
There will be new brands added to the Vital Bracelet BE, such as Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, and Tokyo Revengers! A standalone Gammon BEX will be released at some point, but no further details were provided other than a teaser image.
