the girl sighs, stretching her arms above her head as she thumbs the spines of books on the shelves before her. she was thouroughly exhausted, but these books weren’t going to read themselves. she pauses, hearing someone mumble to themselves a ways off. perhaps it wasn’t smart to go investigate. then again, she didn’t always make smart decisions.
