Natalia Romanova was no stranger to being hit. In fact, in most cases she’d even admit to asking for it. There were very few times in her life when Natalia could recall being surprised by a hit, this was one of them.

James and Natalia sparred frequently, but it was always for training purposes - always civil. Never had Bucky gotten physical with Natalia in any other setting before now.

But now, he was pissed.

Natalia didn’t even know what was happening, but one poorly worded comment earned Natalia a swift hit to the first place James could reach - her jaw. 

Stumbling back a few steps, Natalia had to shake off the initial shock of the hit before her training kicked in. It only took her a couple moments and a short scuffle with James, before she had him pinned against the closest wall, all of her body weight thrown into keeping him immobile.

"James! Stop! Это не ты! I’m not the one you want to fight!" Her breathing was labored, but Natalia didn’t let up until James had calmed down. When he had, she slowly let up, finally letting her body relax. 

"Next time you hit me outside of training," She started, eyes narrowed, "You’re walking away with a black eye and broken limbs…"
