CAN squish bond with Sans? What makes a human soul different from a monster soul in that case? Biologically we're different, but are we really different in regards to our essence? I wonder if human souls bond w each other even if it's not as strong?
well. i think canonically human souls are stronger than monster souls (with like thousands of monster souls not even matching a singular human one but idk correct me if i’m wrong)
I like to think that sans and squish would be able to bond. Idon’t see any reason why they couldn’t except for their own inhibitions (likesans’s inability to believe he could find someone and squish finding theexperience to be too overwhelming as a human)
But I like to think that our concept of a “soulmate” derivesfrom souls and monster culture. I think everyone has a soulmate (or manysoulmates) that may or may not be romantic, but it’s a process. You becomesomeone’s soulmate as opposed to be fated to one, but certain souls are drawnto each other naturally – similar to attraction I suppose. Some people justhave a “type” so to speak.
So we have monster/monster bonds that potentially last…hypothetically, forever (or several hundred years).
I think human/human bonds can exist but you’d never know forsure because humans don’t have the ability to pull out each other’s souls. Andthey last a lifetime. However long that is.
And human/monster bonds…I think existed pre-underground, butI think many monsters would seriously have to consider the price – in myheadcanon, you’re basically signing up to die prematurely – it might /not/happen but there’s a good chance it could. So even though they /could/ bondthey might choose not to.
