              Clarke sipped her coffee loudly, allowing the straw to make some pretty obvious slurping noises as she stared pointedly in Kate’s direction. After three years of living together, she was pretty sure her expression was clear enough: I’m here now & it’s time for Aaron to leave. Leaning forward, she forgoed actually addressing him and just slid into the seat by her roommate, depositing her study materials on the table. He’d get the picture eventually.

“    um.    ”    neil’s vision was swimming and he was pretty sure he just threw up.  he hoped he remembered to take his helmet off.    “   12.  wait--    ”    he squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head,  which made everything a hundred times worse.    “    i’m going to throw up again.    ”    he stated and hoped katelyn had enough time to get out of the way before he did.

the teams luke had played exy for in high school were so small and pathetic that the school had barely even acknowledged them as a team sport.  so having actual cheer leaders at a game was uh.  new.  luke almost tripped on his stick when he walked out onto the court and was greeted by the enthusiastic cheer captain.  

he blinked owlishly and extended a gloved hand with a sheepish smile.    “    uh--  hi.  i’m new guy-  i mean i’m luke.  i’m also new but my name is luke.    ”

           She heaved a sigh, worrying at her lower lip as she looked up from pressing the damp cloth to Jasper’s forehead. She couldn’t bring herself to feel that same optimism that Kate seemed to exude. “ Sure, he’s not dead --- ” the unspoken but hung in the air between them for a heartbeat as she looked back down in concern when he groaned. “ So I guess that’s something. ” Clarke muttered, frustration seeping into her tone as she once again felt there was no way for her to help him. Her touch remained gentle as she wiped his brow and cheeks of the sweat that had gathered there, but her tight grip on the cloth betrayed her mounting anger. “ Kate, we have to do something for him. ”

—   ❛ so  ...  we went on a date, but then the idiot said that cheering wasn’t a real sport.  as the sweet person that i am, i told him that cheering give me the raw power i needed to crush his head with my thighs ...  ❜   —   poppy told her friend her latest dating adventure.  between the vixens and her classes, she didn’t have a lot of free time, so poppy usually didn’t date & when she tried, thing like that happened    —   ❛  and that’s why i can’t go talk to the football team ❜    —

shh, it’s okay. it was just a dream. / for aaron @vixexyn​    /    misc angst starters  ( accepting )

aaron didn’t regret killing drake and he never would.  he would smash his fucking skull in again and again and again without any remorse if he had the choice but that didn’t mean he wasn’t effected by it.  he still heard the sound a skull made when a titanium racquet hit it and what the human brain looked like splattered across a wall and he saw it in his sleep over and over again.  this felt like a betrayal by his body and his mind,  trying to make him feel sympathy for the man who had hurt his twin brother.   to punish this insubordination he would force himself to relive that entire night.  walk through every moment;  the blood on andrew’s temple,  the dazed look in his eyes as he laughed,  the scars on the inside of his wrists when he took off his arm bands--  he almost made himself sick with the horror of it. 

he only heard katelyn after he’s ran through every moment of that day three,  maybe four times,  forcing himself to remember every single horrible thing drake did and why he deserved to die and then he finally started to relax in her arms.  hair stuck to his sweat - damp face as he took a deep breath-  the first real breath since he bolted awake-  and exhaled again.    “    sorry...  did i wake you up ?    ”    he murmured softly,  voice still thick with sleep - logged panic.

they were dying their hair for a game on friday,  the vixens had asked if he wanted to dye his hair with them and he had actually been excited at the idea.  he still hated his natural hair color and with both riko and his father dead there was no reason he needed to keep it that way.  once he had a towel around his shoulders and a drink in his hands they started playing a game.  thankfully a relatively simple one.  you go around in a circle and one person says three statements about themselves,  two are true and one is a lie and then everyone had to guess what the lie was. 

“    okay.  um.  once my mother and i spent a week spent a whole week hiding out in disney land,  i speak four different languages and i’ve been to every state in america.    ”
