how did you get into Discworld?i was like...only peripherally aware that discworld was a thing until like. freshman year of high school? i was still kind of in the phandom then and i read something somewhere about a parody called maskerade which happened to be in the school library, and i read it not knowing anything about the world or the characters and i laughed until i cried

(i made the mistake of starting with color of magic after that and reading in order, it’s a miracle i still kept reading after that but then i started hopping around because the school library only had like half the books and i discovered the watch cycle and that was that)

honestly as much as i’m like...not in the phandom and probably never will be again i have it to thank for introducing me to a lot of things :V
