Look... I know I don't have that many followers as a lot of other Voltron accounts do, but I just want to say something. If you agree you can reblog and stuff, but I just need to get it out.

I know that this season was disappointing and sad, we had high expectations for LGBTQ rep, character development, special interactions, answers to questions, and so on... It's okay to be mad at the writers and stuff, your emotions are truly valid but... So is the staff's.

Our fandom has had toxic events, threatening voice actors AND their families... Constantly sending hate mail to them every day... Hell, people even tried to meet up outside of DreamWorks animation studio to create a violent protest to make a ship cannon.

The show creators are humans, too. They have worked their asses off to animate and write the story line so that teens and adults could enjoy it, along with kids. They have to make sure that a young audience can understand what's happening. Frankly they could have done better writing in my opinion, but they are the ones making it. They put their money, tears, time, sweat, blood, and everything else into making this show. It's impossible to make everyone pleased when millions of people are watching the same show.

What I'm trying to say is that... They are not robots. Insults hurt them, death threats scare them, and if you are willing to go that far to bully the creators into making a ship or a theory cannon... Then I don't believe that you should be in the fandom anymore. Yeah we are very obsessed with the show, but you can't hurt people over it. A kid's show.

I just want everyone to be happy that we even got seven seasons of this amazing show, and I DON'T want to see people so upset over it that they purposefully bring others down. Thanks for reading this.

So theres a moment in season 7 that has me thinking

I was rewatching some of the episodes of season 7 and in episode 10 I found something interesting. During this part of the episode Shiro talks about how the Paladians can connect to their lions from every where in space. Lance mentions the time where their lions got them when they were lost in space. And this is where Keith says

And it kind of confuses me in a way cause he's not the Paladian of Red anymore. Maybe it was a way of reminiscing or maybe it was a way if telling Lance that Red can save his life. Idk. I just think its weird how he mentions Red and not Black. Idk.

Season 7 was amazing dramatically and cinematically.The visuals were gorgeous,the characters developed,and the plot pushed ahead in leaps and bounds.

I don't give a flying flip about ships or all the unwarranted discourse I already see circulating around the tag.This season was beautiful for what it was and if you can't appreciate all the time,thought,work,and effort that went into it then you don't need to be watching it in the first place.It's okay to be upset if something didn't go your way but it is totally unacceptable to be rude or hateful towards someone or the show writers just because your personal headcanon or hopes didn't play out.

Enjoy the show for what it is,not what you think it should be.

Why do I have a weird feeling Season 7 is going to open with a clip show, which is why they’re showing it so early? I can count the amount of clip shows I’ve liked on one hand.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system—despite my salt as of late—I have faith that the writers could pull off a hilarious clip show episode. I believe that there are ways to do this, like…I don’t know…Coran does hand puppets to bring Romelle up to speed. Or, they do each clip from the perspective of a different character in a comedic way (like how Luis does his exposition in the Ant Man films). They’ve kind of already done this with the Vlogs…so…

From a marketing perspective…I get the sense that they are going to show the first episode of S7 not because it’s a throwaway clip show, but because something happens that they expect or know will get those of us who are not excited for S7 back on board.*

And that something is probably about 3-5 seconds of “WOW THEY REVEALED MERLA!” or “NARTI IS BACK!” or the alt!Alteans show up, or Acxa revealing something Huge™, or there’s a peak of whatever Sam Holt has been up to on Earth, or anything that would continue some buried thread from previous seasons but not in a way that it’s going to be the focus of S7.

*hmm…that sounds really narcissistic of me when I read that back to myself.

lance probably said “something else will be along to kill us aaaaany minute now” not only as a stupid joke but also probably as a subtle wish

because if something that wanted to kill them did show up, they know how to deal with it even without lions. they’d have something to do, even if that something is defend themselves

but to be stranded in space with everyone and their thoughts, with nothing even remotely near them and little hope of being rescued before they suffocate?

that’s a whole other level of terrifying

Voltron S7

You know, after all the heart-wrenching, soul crushing, sinking ships, "oh this ship is popular and you want it to happen? how about no?", wtf moments, "that came out of nowhere but it's canon now", and character deaths... would I still want to watch this show?

Yes (I am so attached, I want to see them have a happy ending)

Before anyone starts harrasing the vld crew and VA's. Know that the writers are not literal wish genies. You want a plot that suits your every need? Nope! this ain't Yuri on Ice, try again.

Besides if the ship I want *Cough Lotura Cough", didn't became canon and was written so bad just for plot convenience or whatever. There's always fanfictions. That's right, write your own happy ending. It worked so well with the zutara fandom.

Hopefully S8 won't be a huge bummer.

PS. Never trust VA tweets or vld itself, they trolled us hard and I'm starting to have trust issues hahahahaha
