Voltron headcanon
Keith remembered Lance from the Garrison, but under the name “Taylor,” because the time when Keith was still at the Garrison happened to overlap with the period when that nickname stuck to Lance.
But what if there actually was a guy named Tyler in the Garrison? Just a regular pilot cadet. And throughout all of training, Tyler just knew that, for some reason, Lance absolutely hated him.
And why? Because the only person Keith ever mentioned (besides Shiro, Adam, and James) was “Tyler” (meaning Lance also meaning Taylor)… and Lance never knew that. So Lance spent years trying to figure out what made Tyler so special compared to him.
P.S. One day, after Voltron finally returns to Earth, Tyler receives a random gift basket full of sweets, limited-edition Voltron merch (which very quickly becomes rare and insanely valuable), and a note that says: “Sorry for the trouble we caused you — L. M. & K. K.”
Tyler still has no idea what any of this meant, while the rest of Voltron won’t stop teasing Keith and Lance about it for eternity.
