Vlieland - Vliehors - 18.13 uur by Islander Via Flickr: The Pyramide, a landmark on the Vliehors the sandbank like area on the western part of Vlieland. Vlieland is one of the Frisian island lying off the North coast of the Netherlands. This construction is made by the Royal Netherlands Air Force and used by jet fighters for orientation and as radar beacon when visiting the Cornfield NATO aircraft gunnery range. ------------------------------------------------------------------- De piramide van de Koninklijke Luchtmacht op de punt van de Vliehors. De piramide is het meest westelijke oriëntatiepunt en radarbaken voor de vliegtuigen bij gebruik van het oefenterrein van de Luchtmacht op de Vliehors.
