Bad News: I'm Hospitalized Again

Just want to let everyone know that 2 days after New Year, I was unconscious and had to be taken to the hospital. Right now I'm being treated in ICU where the Doctors are giving me some observations. I am up now, thankfully it wasn't like last year where I couldn't awake for days.

So the blog is on hiatus. No replacement or temporary mods, unfortunately. I really don't want to burden my friends again with the blog. I apologize that some of your confessions are still on the Draft, not yet being put in the queue.

Hopefully, I will be up and go at least in a month. In the mean time, feel free to keep sending your confessions to the submit box. I am however, cannot answer your questions right away.

Shaking my head so much at your last anon :/ prime example some people sometimes will just see what they wanna see. Veronica Mars DOES go under noir - neo-noir / there's no way around it. I would so like to direct your anon to the pilot and a checklist of noir elements and then have a discussion of just how LIGHT Veronica Mars is. LIGHT??? Seriously. I'm laughing at that because just NO!

Haha! A part of me wonders if the message I got sent was someone trying to be ironic and funny, not the actual original confession anon? But! there’s no way of really knowing. 

I do know that some people in the fandom feel bad? guilty? idk? that they enjoy reading fanfic that is all fluff all the time. They’re not super interested in reading fic or stories that are gritty or have a more cynical outlook. (which...side note! a-okay. I’ve totally written fluff.) And maybe they feel compelled to justify or defend that in some way since so much conversation about VM does revolve around its genre as a neo-noir piece of work? 

But...yeah...the first line of the director’s cut is “I’m never getting married.” Doesn’t exactly start out sunshine and butterflies.

NO!!! I HATE IT WHEN THEY SAY VMARS IS NOIR BECAUSE VMARS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A LIGHT TEENAGE DRAMA. WHO CARES ABOUT NOIR WTF IS NOIR ANWAY WHY CANT THE SHOW JUST BE A FUCKING NORMAL SHOW ABOUT TEENAGER WHO HAPPENS TO SOLVE MYSTERY?!?! WHY EVERYONE LIKES NOIR?! IT'S WEIRD. Okay. Please stop screaming at me. 

If you would like me to actually explain what noir is and how and why VM falls into that genre of neo-noir (by the creator’s own admission? like, this isn’t something fandom made up?) I’d be happy to do so. 

But if you’ve made up your mind that it isn’t noir and you have no desire to listen to what I have to say or understand what noir is then I won’t take the time.

Ugh. So, given the fact that I’m not seeing their posts on my dash, I cannot @ their name to tag, or reblog any of their posts, I’m going to say that veronicamarsconfessions has, indeed, blocked me. 

Which:

1. Makes me sad because who would want to block me? I’m fucking lovable god damn it!

2. Makes me sad because making snappy sarcastic comebacks to some of the confessions was, like, the ONE good thing I’m actually good at on this godforsaken website. Tres sigh. We had a good run, veronicamarsconfessions. We had a good run.
