it’s been a year and I’m still annoyed but mostly just feel dejected about vm s4 and what they did with it. I didn’t want it to taint my love for the show but it undeniably has, that is the one year update of my feelings about the vm revival

it’s been almost a week since i have seen the death of logan echolls on a screen and i have had a long time to play in my head a thousand different ways in which he could still be alive and how all of this could be a hoax for a top secret mission in the navy and i am pretty sure i am just playing myself but it’s fine at least for now i think

Logan Echolls may have been a real douche canoe in season 1, but he did NOT deserve that ending in season 4. HE DESERVED BETTER

He was finally happy and he married his person and they were gonna go on a real nice honeymoon and live their best lives, but no. Rob Thomas just had to be an ASSHAT and kill off my favorite character!

Veronica Mars

This post contains spoilers for the new season of Veronica Mars so look away now. I’ve tagged it appropriately but hopefully you have those tags blacklisted and can’t see this message.

I should start by saying that I haven’t seen season four, and just that I was spoiled about the ending so decided just to go into it fully spoiled.

In a word, I am devastated. I cannot believe they would kill Logan off. Obviously, I don’t know if there’s scope for this to be a fake death but unlikely. I wish with all my heart it wasn’t true. And honestly, I really really don’t want to watch season four now.

I have campaigned for this show, I invested so much of my time and effort and emotions into this show. And now I just feel let down. I know I’m just ranting and I know it’s ‘just a tv show’ but man oh man, if there was ever a show written for the fans, this was it.

And Veronica and Logan were central to that. I’ll admit, 90% of the reason why I watched VM was to watch their relationship. I loved them dearly - supported them, chastised them and just dreamed of a happy ending for them.

All I wanted was for LoVe to get the happily ever after they deserve.

And I hate this type of writing. I hate killing someone in a relationship for shock value or because they feel it’s necessary for a character/the show to develop. (I’ll never get over what happened to Sawyer and Juliet in Lost, for example). It’s just lazy writing. Why can’t characters be happy? Why can’t those that struggle get a positive ending?

I’m sorry for the ranting and I’m sorry for the formatting (I’m on mobile) but if anyone wants to wallow with me and sulk, I’d be very pleased to rant with you. I’ll stop now though.
