professionalism was something byulyi was good at. the inspector never had a problem with acting professional during her work. but today was clearly different. she was assigned on a new case, she was assigned to take a closer look at inspect what she could found -- and at this very moment, she was assigned to interrogate the dna specialist, ask him if he found any clues, leads as to who the victim was. if it was just any person, she wouldn’t have problems with that. the task itself was a piece of cake, but -- the fact that changjo was that dna specialist she needs to interrogate makes it a difficult task for her.
she took a few steps slowly, going to where changjo was supposed to be, on the lab. she felt quite hesitant, but she knew she needed to do this task soon, she need to be professional about this, personal matters must not hinder her to do her job, and so, she tried to remain calm about this.
byul, you just have to talk to him about the case.
a heavy sigh escaped past her lips, her hand remained frozen on the handle of the door for momentarily. she found herself staring at the door for god knows how long, obviously feeling hesitant about this. was she ready to face him? was she ready to finally talk to him after a few weeks of avoiding him. her eyes shut closed momentarily, and once again, a heavy sigh escaped past her lips. reluctantly, she finally opened the door.
immediately, her eyes landed into a familiar figure’s back right in front of her. the inspector took a few steps forward, and soon after her hand reaches the figure’s shoulder from the back, trying to get his attention, hoping she wasn’t interrupting him with whatever he was doing. she froze on the spot, and for a moment, she forgot how to speak. it took her a few seconds to react, dainty fingers gripping into the folder that she was holding, as she showed it to the other. hopefully it was enough for changjo to figure out the purpose of her visit.
