this is my little mob set up, I've wanted to add them in for a while since I've been playing Clannad and I was getting a kick out of some of the backgrounders haha...
Since they're initially drawn with a crunchy aliased pen and then smoothed, they're pretty easy to mix and match as you can see from some of the duplicates i made.
Adding them in is as simple as placing them into a scene and for the backgrounds like this one where I don't have PSDs for it. I clip light and shadows to the images to blend them in, and create a mask on top of them so that they look like they're behind the furniture. they're then just saved as a separate layer that can be swapped out of I need to.
the outfits are all school centered since that's the quickest and easiest to do right away, but like I said, since I can easily recolor and edit parts if I need to, I can also just make them look casual and use them outside as well.
