It's been a long time since I last wrote a "change one thing and watch how it snowballs" kind of AU, but I sure missed it! I haven't been this excited to write in a long time.

It's been a long time since I last wrote a "change one thing and watch how it snowballs" kind of AU, but I sure missed it! I haven't been this excited to write in a long time.
2021 was a much better year for me, writing-wise, than 2020. I wrote a lot more and I'm happier about what I got done, especially the fact that I finished one WIP and tried out multiple new fandoms. Part 6 has given me a lot of new inspiration just when I thought I was getting bored of writing Lupin fic.
I wish I could say that my goal for 2022 is to finish the Lupin/Zenigata WIP, but all my creativity for that ship seems to have disappeared. It's frustrating since it's so close to being finished and I more or less know how it would go.
Me: Ok, just one or two hundred words more and this fic should be done. Then I can -
Fic: Yeah, but what if I'm actually the first chapter of a much longer story? :)
And somewhere in the background, my Lupin/Zenigata ski resort fic cries.
I have about 24 hours to finish the last chapter of my Albert/Tickey fic so I can say I wrote it before Part 6 in case new canon destroys the ship or my love for the character(s). I can do it!!!

Nothing quite like finishing a 1,700 word scene, being happy with it, and realizing it just doesn't work in this fic. Fingers crossed I can use it elsewhere.
Nothing more annoying than thinking you'll just add a quick flashback and then it takes over the whole fic.
