Alcohol’s great, because it kills the pain. Except it’s not great, because it’s still a substance and ends nothing.  It merely prolongs the inevitable. Moreover, it’s worse, because it tempts you to stay there, even though you know better.  So really it doesn’t solve anything, because even when you’re drunk off your ass, you know that.  It’s not real.  It’s not a solution.  If anything you’ve just made it worse, because the pain is just going to be waiting for you anyway, except now there’s going to be a hangover between now and when it will assuredly resume. God fucking damn it. Still, that faint, brief moment of relief is nice sometimes...  Ugh.
