i actually hated dean right off the bat. he sees her for a brief moment and starts projecting his own ideas of what kind of girl she is before actually getting to know her. "look at this girl who likes doing the thing a lot, she must be an angel!"

that is very true! when i first watched the show i definitely hadn’t thought about it that way. (probably had something to do with the fact that i was much younger, and didn’t really care lol) but after i rewatched it the first time i noticed how toxic and problematic their relationship really was. i had said that i liked rory/dean in the first episode pretty much only because even though i didn’t like dean’s character i still wanted to give them a chance. then after i realized how awful they were together right away i was like nahhhhh. plus dean is just the worst even without rory, tbh.

i got in a couple hours ago from watching jupister ascending, and even though it had one of my least favourite actors in it (thwompface) and it was cheesy as hell, it's the most fun i've had watching a movie in a long time. that's a huge thing for a massively depressed gal like me! i have a serious case of anhedonia, so i'm glad that this silly ass movie was able to make me genuinely laugh. can we talk about the outfits? especially on the background actors!! and if you saw it high in 3D, wow!

But true, yes, it was so much fun! Everything was so aesthetically gratifying. ooogh and the handmaiden types?
