Hi! I've been following your blog from the beginning, and I want to say how much I love you guys. But I do have a question - are there some authors you don't rec regardless of if someone sends in a rec for them? Because I see a lot of the same names over and over, but some people never show up. There are three authors in this fandom in particular that are not only prolific, but have a big presence on Tumblr, and you never rec their work. I have even submitted several anon asks recc'ing their stuff, and I think you've posted one. I know you guys must be overwhelmed, but still, the odds should be in my favor.
I’m sorry you feel that certain authors aren’t getting enough attention. I promise we do not have any prejudice against any authors. Ever since I started the blog, I have looked through my own Ao3 bookmarks if I know something might fit, and then I search through relevant tags on Ao3. We do not delete any recs either, so it could be that your asks never made it through, as Tumblr doesn’t always let all of them come through.
If these authors are only posting to Tumblr, there is little to no chance we have ever seen them, as Tumblr does not have a good search function to find anything, so we only search for fics through Ao3. If a specific Tumblr account is recced and is easy to access we can do that too (for example, I’ve had someone rec a tumblr comic before, and it was easy to find due to specific tags).
If you feel these authors deserve more love, my suggestion to you is to send in more recs. I don’t know who’s popular or not in the fandom to be honest, and that doesn’t matter anyway because I try and give everyone a fair chance. If you send these in, we’ll be sure to make the post and rec these fics.
