The Mermaid || Levi & Lux
Levi smoothed his hands across the map as his eyes met with the men gathered around him. The captain of course, was stowed away in his quarters. He'd heard stories of mermaids and sirens and fairies and the finest gold across the seas. Myths and legends that every pirate either scoffed or dreamed of sailing after.
The sailing master, however- was a skeptic. In all his days of mapping out courses and setting sail, he had never come across such a creature so devine. Word was, the captain was losing his touch. This crew was lucky enough to have a first mate so capable and level headed. Or at the very least, this dead end journey was going to put his extremely sought out for talents to waste.
"Here, here, and here-- we be settin' anchorage," Levi continued on, pinning a dagger to each X on the map. "Captain's orders. So get yourselves some shut eye, lads. Yeh 'ave a long day ahead o' yous," he advised, pinning his last dagger into the worn out wooden table. He then excused himself, stepping out onto the deck- where men were sparse and few in between at this time of night.
Levi sighed to himself, leaning over the side of the ship just enough to let the breeze hit his face. He probably should have been resting up too, but he wondered what the point would have been. It wasn't as if they were ever really going to find anything on this quest of theirs.
