RADIO UPDATE 27/06/13

So I haven't done one of these for a while. Yes it's time to do a radio update. I believe the last time I did one of these was when I first joined Southampton's Community Radio station Voice FM. I've now been there over a year so yeah that long ago. 

I am now the presenter of the Breakfast show known as the Morning Zoo. YUP BREAKFAST PRESENTER. I have my own team which consists of my co presenter Naomi (who's actually gone for two months so will now be filled in by Alex), Producer Chris who literally has the exact same sense of humour as me, it works so well and Chalkers, the guy we get to do stupid stuff. It's a feature called Challenge Chalkers where we send him out during the show or any time during the week and get him to do idiotic stuff. IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR CHALLENGE CHALKERS WE WILL DEFINITELY TAKE THEM ON. 

So from just doing the lunch time show on the station I am now the presenter of the breakfast show. It's every radio DJ's dream to present the breakfast show and it's so much fun. I get excited for it every week with the shows being on Tuesday and Wednesday. We come up with stupid stuff to talk about and then just roll with it and the outcome is hilarious. About a year ago I was actually quite quiet on the radio. I've had training from the brilliant Adrian Scott and now I've been told I'm the best at the station. I don't think it but whatever. I'm not a big fan of compliments as I don't want to get a massive ego but just hearing that was kind of nice. 

I've also been told that I won't be at the station for much longer according to the station manager. Now when I heard that I thought "dear god what have I done?" He then went on to say that he can see me getting scouted by a commercial radio station in a year's time. This was awesome to hear. To hear that I'm almost at getting a paid job in radio made me think I need to push more to get my first job in radio. 

Everything is going great at the moment and my dream of presenting my own show at Radio 1 is slowly getting closer.
