Date night with the beautiful Founder of Voice of the Free, Mam Po @ceciliaoebanda 🇵🇭 She is known to some as Nai Nai Day, to others as Commander Liway. For me, she is a symbol of Hope here in the #Philippines helping to rescue, rehabilitate, and reintegrate Survivors, of sex trafficking and modern day slavery. This morning I guided meditation for the girls at the @voiceofthefreeph Center of Hope, a refuge, respite and rehabilitation shelter for young girls (ages 1-20) who have been rescued from #sextrafficking and / or #modernslavery in the Philippines. We focused single pointedly on breathing and allowed distractions to come but not allow them to stay in our mind. We sat in joy and deep gratitude for our happy minds and then dedicated to end the suffering of all living beings. I am here in this moment with them, faces not shown for their own protection as many cases are pending in the courts. Their safe is my number one responsibility but I had to share this image to show you that #peaceispossible when we #choosehappiness ♥️🦋 “If nothing ever changed, we would have no butterflies.” Grow my sisters.
