Void has no set form, though it tends to stuff itself inside Shikari like an eldritch matryoshka doll when it wants to move around on the daily. It will however emerge when it's being a wanker (or wants affection from it's husband, Void says they're married so apparently they're married) and prefers a few shapes. Misty almost human shape shadow that lingers behind Shikari like an after image, blink and it's gone, mind fuck melt down as it teases and hints. Wolfish form too big and too wrong, only the front half seems fully formed and even then it's just not right. someone who's never seen a wolf before heard half a description and thought they knew what you meant. 'True' form which is something out of a nightmare and the one it wears to wrap around it's husband and take him to bed.

Shikari is technically a lich? It's complicated but he did technically die and his soul is being held by Void, effectively turning it into a phylactery. Of course, Void will just say that they got married...

He was a Mystic Knight back in the day, his magic nearly as good as his blade work.

Void lives inside him and his soul lives inside Void. It was tempted to just take over him completely, to devour all of him and fill the empty husk with itself but it grew fond of Shikari and offered to keep his soul intact if not his body.

Shikari is out there showing Void the world. It's from the Long Dark, a place at the edge of everything, between all things and it's curious and hungry and a complete bell end.

Name: Shikari  Age: ??? Species: Void-Touched. Hair: Shocked white. Eyes: Black sclera, red pupils.  They glow in the dark.

He was human once.  A long time ago.  When knights were ten a penny.  When they were sent on quests to rescue princesses and defeat dragons.  When mages lived in towers and witches hid in plain sight in villages.  

A royal knight, vowed to a king as greedy as they came, sending his men to steal riches from all manner of monsters.  Shikari was the best at what he did, staring beasts in the eye as he slew them, hightailing it back with riches unheard of. But of course, even the greatest of knights will eventually come upon something better than them. 

A cave system that seemed to go on forever, the promise of riches untold, of a guardian beast straight out of a horror story.  

The riches were a lie.  

The beast not so much. 

A great hulking mass of darkness, of shadow and void whispers.  Of encroaching shade and questing intent, luring Shikari deeper and deeper into it's lair.  Caught like a fly upon a web, our once great knight vanished into the dark, never to be seen quite the same again. 

What emerged all those years later was something changed.  Something other.  Dark and dangerous, wrapped in the night that loved him enough to spare him but to never release him.
