It’s always the same one....the same nightmare that had been tormenting him since that THING made itself known. Trapped in a space littered with mirrors, reflections that are his...and yet not. Deep purple swimming in black, broken and mangled jaws oozing black and thick fluid onto the floor.
Whispering threats in his ears...no matter how many of the mirrors he breaks, another three take up it’s space, and his reflection becoming more and more unrecognizable...
He must have been thrashing around...maybe he was yelling out in his sleep...he doesn’t know, but he finally woke with a start...someone or something was shaking him awake...
Blurry Red eyes blinking to clear themselves, trying to will away the oncoming headache, will his heart rate to calm once more. His jaw hurt...it always ached with these nightmares, his back burning alongside it. Vision finally clearing to see the familiar Commander looking back at him. Inwardly he thanked the other for waking him...
Not much truly terrified this man...but one thing in particular caused him immeasurable panic....truly, scared him. He knew of It’s existence now...knew what it was capable of....knew what it could, and would do to his body.
Crimson eyes stared at the bathroom mirror...memories replaying themselves, looking at his reflection like this once before. He Kept seeing it...kept seeing the deep purple stare of that thing, boring deep into his mind and soul.
He remembered in great detail....the Pain, the ripping and tearing of Bone and muscle and sinew...the Snapping and popping sounds deep in his ears. He could hear his own screaming as this thing tore his body apart, claiming it as it’s own. He remembered all the blood, all the pitch black ooze that dripped from broken jaw, all the drool...and the painful burning Vomit that came with the pain.
Since that moment...he’s felt that tinge of fear in the back of his mind, constantly reminding him....constantly watching him...constantly threatening him. Sleep had come harder and harder...going days without proper sleep. It was easy enough to write off his exhaustion as work related....but deep down he knew why sleep never came. That THING plague his dreams now...Deep purple, and diseased eyes stared at him, gleefully waiting for it’s chance to take him once again. Razor sharp teeth set into a broken and mangled Mandible, grinning at him...waiting.....watching.
He shook...the very though sending a tremor through his whole body and mind. He was tired....exhausted...on the verge of sickness even...and he wanted his life back, to forget that thing ever existed. So he stood, facing the very mirror he stood before, the last time it happened....concentrating...willing it to show itself...he had to Face it, had to learn not to tremble in fear and panic at the very sight of it. The Wyrm in his mind begged him to stop, his own fear rearing up...his fear of his host breaking apart at the seams...and he wasn’t sure if he could put the pieces together again.
A flash in his eyes, in the mirror...he watched those red eyes shift to purple...watched his reflection slowly change, alter...ripping apart. He could almost hear it laughing at him, calling him a fool, claiming his body as his once again. Jaws splitting, dark ooze seeping from the seams. He stood frozen at the sight...body refusing to move, powerless to this things very Gaze.
He HAD to face it...had to overcome it.....
But soon the Panic set it..his body trembling on it’s own against his own mind screaming for it to Stop!
In a blink the reflection changed back, and he seen his own reflection once more, terrified and pale. In an instant he was face to face with the porcelain god, emptying what was left in his stomach....He couldn’t do it....not yet.....
Black goo drips from damaged jaws, Coating his front, His hands that lack the control to feel in panic at the painfully cracked bone. A room of mirrors offering zero comfort to the man's. No, the beasts state of mind, That long tail swishes back and forth in a gleeful wag (It felt like it connected right to the spine. Unnatural and heavy at it's end-), Pitch black eyes except for the inner color stared from all directions, Oh dear foolish man. What made you think you were ever free of yourself.
Send my muse an anonymous nightmare.

He begged and pleaded, END THIS NIGHTMARE, it had to be a nightmare…he hoped it was a nightmare….
that THING claiming his body and mind once more, his own soul getting swallowed by those pools of BLACK and DISEASE. No control, he had NO control of his arms…no way to reach his arms up, desperate to hold that broken and mangled excuse for a jaw, anything to stop the sickening flow of fluids from falling onto him…the feel of his own clothes cemented to his flesh, the stain…
MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOPMAKE IT STOP! MAKEITSTOP!MAKEITSTOP!MAKEITSTOP!MAKEITSTOP……
Everywhere he looked, he only seen that thing, haunted in a room of mirrors, FORCED to look at it….at himself….at what that thing has done to him….It was staring back at him…GLARING…t h r e a t e n i n g….It wanted his body and mind, it wouldn’t stop….please….just…..s t o p… .

He woke with a start, head and heart both pounding, threatening to explode. He was in his office…he must have slept here last night…or was this all a sick trick by that thing…
A wave of sickness hit him, and he jolted up, rushing to the nearest trash can, emptying his stomach of any and all contents it had held….He cemented himself there, and refused to move.
