A couple of points on your (very good, and I'm not contradicting you!) GMO post:
1) Monsanto was bought by Bayer in 2018. I mean. They're still shit. But anyone who tries to look up Monsanto ugliness isn't going to find much that's recent, because now it's Bayer ugliness.
2) the crossbreeding claim is VERY interesting to me, and I'm not sure how credible it is because:
3) the scariest thing that Bayer does is create crops that are infertile. Farmers get trapped into buying seeds every freaking year, because Bayer seeds don't grow crops capable of reproduction.
I have literal nightmares about what happens to humanity if we become dependent on seeds that can't reproduce... And then those seeds stop being available.
(also 4: in 2006 I went to one of the top universities in the world and political science majors were required to take an agricultural policy class sponsored by Monsanto.)
I’m gonna go point by point too lol
I die inside every time the vet prescribes Bayer meds/my ma takes aspirin, i wouldn’t be opposed to their ceo getting his neck wrung
There’s been an international moratorium on terminator seeds since like 2000 iirc but I’m mostly basing myself off the Monsanto v. Schmeiser case; in any case Monsanto sueing is mostly against farmers who save seeds even though saving seeds is literally the basis of most agriculture and has been since its inception
POLICY CLASS SPONSORED BY MONSANTO HOW MUCH DID THEY PAY TO SHILL TO YOU GUYS AHHHHHHH
