The sound of a door opening and closing gently courses through the air, the clink of the tiny bell above alerting the odd shop of newcomers.

A small space, crowded and burstling with trinkets, decorations, traces of years long lived memories and whatnot; the fresh eyes observe the place with sparkles in their eyes.

In the far back of the store, out of the eye, in a small corner by an intricate shelf sits two dolls, facing more each other than the outside world.

The dolls, although not quite special on their own, are a pair inseparable. Having seen through and lived through many rough ages, the traces of the times seen on the corners of their worn out clothes, a thread there and there popping out only for the keen eyes that see through the veil.

The little shop owner recalls a time the dolls were spotted by someone, displaying their fascination and interest.

She only let out a hearty chuckle then, catching the stranger by surprise-- "I'm afraid that's not possible." she said, "These dolls have been together for longer than anything, who knows what's to come if someone dared separate them." At her words, the stranger's face pales at the implication. One to find such baseless rumors normally ridiculous, the stranger cannot help but feel unease-- something tugging at their soul for even considering such a thing.

The dolls sit there, one with his fate incomplete; the other with a soul to match-- eyes only for each other, a sliver of something wicked, a glint of life within the buttons carely stitched, as if they know no matter what, they will find their way to one another always.

In the beginning stages and by the end of the first year where you’ve eased up to act more your natural self, it stings Kaiser that you are expressionless at times, a default face devoid of emotion and not very reactive when it comes to showing love.

Unresponsive too, unless he is pushing your buttons, getting under your skin, acts he begin to frequent foolishly at the beginning stages for the sake of receiving a reaction— some of your traits begin to resemble a pink head, ocean eyes that he does not wish to think about in his supposed safe space. He doesn’t wish to bring nuisances home, let alone ones like him that are a hassle to deal with. This is meant to be his haven, his safe space you so he has to get to the bottom of it somehow.

To open his eyes a little wider and see all the small signs of you love and care in your own way that is invisible to the general eye. And that’s the heart of you and him essentially, that he knows you, understands you- better than anyone; without you feeling small, stammering over words or needing to explain yourself in the hopes ghat you won’t be cast out and pushed away again.
