when i first made this marking to add to the generator i was like "oh it's very plain, idk how good the generator can make it look" but apparently i shouldn't have worried about that at all

Custom riftclaw generator for VOIDFRA.ME. Come make a weird lizard or five.
Sent the riftclaw generator update live last night! there's a TON more patterns and special marking overlays to play with. I'd love to see anything you create with it, and if you spot any markings with awkward bleed or other issues please let me know so I can fix it!
next on the agenda
baby form update
new forms
maybe some clothing layers depending on how the first two go
(i'm only one person so doing something as complex as say flight rising will take a fair bit of time)

first six patterns done on the baby base and posted as an early preview for patrons-- i'm unlikely to update the generator itself til late september, i'm thinking. I'd like to get at least one alternate form done alongside the baby lines, which will keep me busy for a while!
So I've basically fucked the original riftclaw template lines and I need to start over and I was going to run a poll on whether I should lightly retouch the lines or just like, trace them as close as possible but like... looking at the resketch (pink) next to the old lines (black) i'm gonna be honest the pink is like. enough of an improvement i'm probably just going to do that
it needs a bit more tightening but it's a little closer to my original vision (and the old lines ARE over a year old now). maybe the head needs to come up a bit for a longer neck. 🤔

added a bunch of marking previews for the riftclaw generator update. progress is coming along nicely! I've doubled the number of markings that are available, and have been working on the "special" layer, an additional overlay layer that can't be modified but changes how a pattern may be expressed.
I'm hesitant to give a date for the update rn but I'm hoping i'll be ready to share the finished project sometime mid to late june.
So I sent the link to this to patrons a few days ago but here is the Big Thing I’ve been working on lately-- a simple adopt site using riftclaws as the subject.
Right now it’s a little barebones! bc I’m working on learning php in order to make things from scratch. At the moment it functions more like a static adoptables page (with random outcomes-- 3 per egg), but I’m working behind the scenes on the account system, which is functional for registration/login and I’m working on making profiles viewable/attaching the adoptables to them. Once I have that functional it’ll change a bit in form! I can’t make a promise on the exact date when that’ll be implemented since I’m working very hard to get the security up to standards before I start allowing sign-ups.
In the meantime, save your egg codes, bc I’ll find a way to add them to accounts once they’re live.
The current eggs are actually the July eggs-- as of right now, adopting them will let you adopt them at hatchling stage. I’ll be putting out some eggs for August soon, and the July ones will go away shortly before they’re due to mature.
