“ i have three theories. i think all of them are plausible, but there are still major gaps and unanswered questions. ” sade shifted in her seat, bringing her knees up to sit cross legged. “ one- it’s all a hoax. someone’s been hacking into the station to put this stuff out to screw with people for the hell of it. two- it’s a cult. this is all part of what they believe and they’re trying to rope people in. three- it’s all real, and there’s some sort of... extraterrestrial life trying to invade or kill us all. ”
@voieur liked for a canon dialogue starter.
“I’m not sure that’s wise.”

“if you worked in a gas station before, it’ll probably be pretty easy to get the hang of things.” they had already gone over the layout of the store, how to use the cash register, all the basics. it was pretty simple, especially for someone who was experienced already. “it’s usually chill for the overnight shift- mostly just stocking and cleaning... but there is some kinda weird stuff that happens.”

“I can’t come up with any explanations that aren’t nuts.”
they sit among the debris of something–a nightmare patchwork of mismatched puzzle pieces; the fog, the entity, whatever. none of it made sense, and maybe that was the point. and yet, it would be easier to believe that he’d just finally snapped–not that there were others moving through dark buildings and the shadows of monsters. he could laugh–a hysterical sort of crack of a noise, because this was insane, because this would only happen to someone like him. it’s the punchline– the perfect followup for whatever the hell his life had been up to now.
he huffs a breathless, derisive laugh, leans head back to peer at black, starless sky. “…yeah. and i kind of thought i’d seen the worst of it. back home.” towering man in the hockey mask makes his boogeyman, now free to stalk him without rest. he gestures vaguely and campfire light catches his silhouette: “no one’s going to believe us about this, if we ever leave.” and for a moment he pauses, because it is too heavy to look their fate in the eye–even if for a moment. even if they sit in wait, bruises and bloodied fabric and heaving lungs. it’s the faintest of smiles as he passes a glance to girl at his side. “what about you? any monsters where you come from?"
is there something i should know? @ oliver

Oliver paused for a moment, unsure what Ruby was getting at. “Uhm, sure? You should know that I think you’re really ….cool?” Though he was sure she was aiming towards his thoughts on the cult church but still, he wasn’t going to go down that route, not when most people thought he was crazy for even letting it be a thought. “I don’t know though, is there something you should know?” He tilted his head some towards her, raising a brow in her direction.
