‘ i’m guessing i’m not the glamorous hero you expected me to be. ’ red eyes run a cadence along his younger self; still with the confident air he remembers having when he was training to be a hero -- when he was still dazzled by the world ahead and the power he possessed. but the world was cruel and harsh; and the heroes were all fakes -- his dream was a childish one and there’s a flicker of anger in his gut from the very thought of the boy he once was. ‘ face it, kid -- you’re not cut out for the pseudo hero world you wanna be in. save yourself the trouble and give it up now. ’
there was no way in hell that he was going to let himself fall to fifteenth at midterms again, but that meant that he’d actually have to do something about his studies before he took the midterms. it also meant that he was going to have to learn how to study.
asking for help hadn’t ever been an issue for kirishima, he figured hiding the flaws you have or pretending they don’t exist was a completely unmanly thing to do. which is why he has no problem walking over to bakugou’s room door. with a raised fist he wraps on the door, heavily, three times in quick succession. “hey, bakugou!” ( @volatilehero )

"Hey, sorry again about earlier, it wasn't cool of me to get angry at you and I just wanted to welcome you to our class Shinsou it's so great to have you!" Coupled with an uncharacteristic smile and peppy tone.

“You’re welcome...But there’s more to it than that Bakugou. I may not be able to completely relate to your situation and how it must affect you, but...” The shifter pauses, hands coming to fiddle with the end of his shirt. What he was about to share was extremely personal, something he was still coming to terms with, with the help of therapy. For Bakugou, his situation was personal too, but it had been advertised to the world. He hadn’t had the time to properly process it and deal with it his own way before he was no doubt barraged with support from well meaning friends.
However, here in the darkness of the dorm lounge, where he had found Bakugou resting, perhaps he could try his best to help as well.
“But...I can somewhat get it you know? I was...I was kidnapped by villains myself when I was a child.” The memories of those times will forever haunt him, but if looking back on old wounds can help someone else start to heal their own, then he would do it, because that’s what heroes do.
“Unfortunately, my rescue took a fair bit longer than your own. Three years to be exact. And during that time, I may have been forced to do...indecent things to people. Innocent people...” Yukio shudders at the memories of robberies and biting onto people who tried to stop him. “B-But...I was saved by All Might, just like you were. He saw something in me worth saving, and even gave me a chance at becoming a hero. You...You fought the bad guys from the beginning. You’ve always had a bright future Bakugou, because you know what you want and how you want to get there...” This time another smile returns to Yukio’s face, as he realizes watching Bakugou rise in ranks gave him a similar feeling to how he felt in seeing All Might.
“I-I guess what I’m trying to say in a long winded explanation is that I just can’t imagine a future where Pro Hero is not attached to your name Bakugou.”

“Y-You don’t always have to open up and talk about what’s bothering you. Sometimes you just need a nice meal and people to just give you a little quiet to make peace with yourself..But if you want I can put on a scary movie too?”
