A little preview of something I was working on before I got sick like...2-3 years ago. Hopefully I can get back to it after getting a few other projects done.

I don’t know how tumblr will handle this super long file, so here’s the big ol piece and then the piece broken up into sections. Here’s WindClan!

Fernface - Field Colony Ranger
Family- Volefur (Brother), Jaggedstripe (Mate), Dawn and Dark (Kittens)
Fernface and Volefur were born outside of the Alliance. Many of Field Colony’s older cats still talk about when they found the two abandoned kittens scavenging for food inside Field Colony territory. Much too young to be on their own, yet somehow managing to survive, and completely feral. Getting them back to camp without the young molly scratching the spirit out of their Rangers was trial enough.

Rangers
The bulk of every colony is made up of Rangers. Field Colony’s numbers have been hurting for several seasons, however. With the largest territory and fewest cats to range it, everyone in the colony is aware of the lurking danger to the southeast with Captain Rainfall threatening to steal Field Colony’s South Base. No doubt to expand River Colony’s ever-growing ranks. Field Colony depends on the rotation of their hunting grounds to stay well fed, however, so no compromise can be had.
Field’s Rangers are also the most paranoid of the Unbound-lands, and the Renegade Magi who roam it. With their open fields and meadows, it’s all too easy to sneak in and steal from Field Colony, and with Captain Hazelfur and Forestleaf, pressure to protect what’s theirs runs these Rangers down.
Field Colony Ranging is all about trust and community, but the Rangers feel as though they’re the only ones who truly understand how close their Colony is teetering on the edge of destruction, but it’s easier to put your head down and get the job done than it is trying to speak up about their anxieties.
