Volito || Fabian & Amelia

Just as Amelia suggested, down the stairs came an eager-eyed Fabian wearing a cool black sweater beneath his Ravenclaw robes. She was right about the nip in the air - he’d only been complaining about it for the past week. Then again, it was rare Amelia wasn’t right about something pertaining to everyday life. She had a way of keeping information lodged into her brain and using it for his good whenever he or Gideon got into a sticky situation. It was one of the many things that made him love spending time with her.

He flashed a grin before pushing aside the portrait and waiting for her to exit the common room. He followed behind, his eyes looking to the fire pit one last time before stepping out of his second home. Yes, there were others in the room that could watch it but all of them were so deep in conversation with another he didn’t doubt that the entire castle could go up in flames and still they would be talking about their summer holidays apart. It was like home and family, and one of the reasons he loved it here so much. It was cold and large and the basements smelt like the sewers, but he’d spend too much of his life here to pretend he didn’t love it.

“So,” Fabian started, closing the door behind them and following Amelia down the stairs - broom in hand and his heart racing - “Have you ever actually played Quidditch before, or am I just trusting that you’re natural skills will come up at any second?
